Drop in and see what it all about, have a go or book in a session.
Working on the Luxmuralis Son et Lumiere project at the Draceana centre . Great group of people with some lovely memories. Joy to see the drawing bring confidence and enjoyment in seeing the drawings move. And the madest thing is they say they can’t draw!! Looking forward to the next stage so hope some of them will come to the Pop up Medai studio next week
From August 20th to 26th, as part of the Luxmuralis Son et Lumiere event join in the celebrations of Penryn 800th year by making animations about the people and events that have made Penryn.
At our pop up media studio in the Yellow house on Penryn high (70 lower market street) We’ll be having fun and experimenting with different hands on animation methods.
Some of the work created will then be intergrated into the Son et Lumiere event . An evening of Sound & Light murals by Luxmuralis projected onto the historic architecture of Penryn later on this year on 1st of October
Following on from the Son et Lumiere day one workshop at Penryn college workshop we tried cut out animation . Still inspired by
the same theme of Bishop Bronscombes vision.
Another group began to work with animating the construction of Glasney using a kind of animated origami technique. We didn’t have time to film this but will do so at the August son et Lumiere animation workshops at the pop up media studio in Penryn.
16 children in one afternoon animated their interpretation of a section of Bishop Bronscombe’s vision ,
and thou shalt find in it a large willow tree, and therein a swarm of bees; and there thou shalt appoint the High Altar . From Thurston, C. Peter “The History of Glasney Collegiate Church, Cornwall” 1903. You can read more on the visit penryn website

Like a game of consequences each child after drawing thier section then had to morph it to the adjoining section.
